Video versions of some Booklets

The Martin PBM Mariner

The PBM Mariner was designed and manufactored at the Glenn Martin Plant in Middle River, Maryland. A total of 1,366 PBMs were built. This video, and the original booklet, was created and dedicated to Richard D. Korns who worked as a draftsman in the PBM from 1940 to 1942.

The SB2C Helldiver

The SB2C Helldiver was designed and manufactured at the Curtis Wright Columbus Plant and two Canadian factories: Fairchild Aircraft Ltd and the Canadian Car and Foundry. A total of 7,140 SB2Cs were produced. This video, and the original booklet were created and dedicated to Virginia E. Havens (to later become Virginia Korns) and Richard D. Korns.

National Air and Space Museum

On a business trip in 2013 near Washington D.C. I had a chance to make a quick visit to the National Air and Space Museum. Not the original one downtown, but the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center to the west near Washington Dulles Airport. See all the aircraft for yourself. Surprisingly, in their aircraft restoration area they were in the process of restoring an SB2C Helldiver.

The Aircraft In Our Family Tree

After our mother, Virginia Havens Korns, passed away a couple of us kids became infatuated with the events leading up to how and where Mom & Dad met. My sister Carol Korns Cassone and I authored this short document. Click the image to be taken to our page which explains it all.
